(Rules) Guilds
In Myth, instead of having a 'class' (like Fighter or Wizard) from the start, you begin with a few powers and earn the rest as you go. You can learn how to do just about anything, and there are no restrictions based on what you already know. Before you are in a guild, you learn 'adventurer' abilities, which have a 'type', like Magic or Unarmed Combat. Each ability you learn has a level. You start with level 1 abilities and you can't learn level 2 abilities until you've learned two level 1 abilities of the same type. Once you have attained a certain level of skill, you can join a guild. Guilds are basically classes, but they work a little differently. Instead of being locked into one, you can quit or join a guild at any time. You can also be in two guilds at once, but there are various restrictions based on what guild you are in. You can't be in more than two guilds, because of a law and a set of spells created by the Grand Council. It's also important to check in with your guild frequently for training and jobs.
